Uranus: Ice Giant Planet
Uranus is the seventh planet in our solar system from the sun. Classified as an ice giant, it is known for its unique characteristics, including its extreme tilt and blue-green color. Here are some important facts about Uranus:
1. Size and composition: Uranus is approximately 51,118 kilometers (31,763 miles) in diameter, making it the third largest planet in our solar system. It consists mostly of hydrogen and helium,
2nd atmosphere: Uranus has a dense atmosphere consisting mainly of hydrogen (about 83%) and helium (about 15%). The presence of methane in the upper atmosphere gives the planet its distinctive blue-green color.

3. Obliquities and Seasons: One of the most striking features of Uranus is its extreme axial tilt.While most of the planets in our solar system have an axial tilt of a few degrees, Uranus is tilted at around 98 degrees. This means that the planet essentially orbits the sun laterally. As a result, Uranus experiences extreme seasonal fluctuations, with each pole receiving 42 years of uninterrupted sunlight, followed by 42 years of darkness.
4. moons: Uranus has 27 known moons.The largest moon, Titania, is about 1,578 kilometers (981 miles) in diameter, making it the eighth largest moon in the Solar System. Another moon of note is Miranda, which has unique geological features and some of the tallest known cliffs in the solar system.
5. Rings: Uranus has a ring system, although these are not as prominent or well defined as Saturn's rings. Discovered by astronomers during an occultation in 1977, Uranus' rings are composed of dark particles, possibly water ice and other organic compounds.
